Greg Omori has more than 25 years of experience in the industry. These include managing sensitive habitat restoration efforts and invasive species control projects throughout the Southwestern United States.

Mr. Omori provides oversight for the different aspects of large-scale invasive weed treatment projects. These include the deployment of resources, quality control, landowner relations and rights of entry, permits, and all facets of contract requirements.

He also oversees habitat enhancement projects. These range from wetland, riparian, and upland habitat revegetation to vernal pools development and complex erosion control projects in coastal and riparian environments.

In addition to being our head of the company, Mr. Omori is a California Department of Pesticide Regulation Pest Control Advisor and holds a Qualified Applicator License and a California Contractor’s C-27 License. He graduated from California Polytechnic State University in San Luis Obispo with a degree in crop science.

Skyler Bishop has been in this company for more than eight years. He is the lead project manager for our habitat restoration and enhancement as well as the invasive weed control projects. Mr. Bishop plans and manages resources and logistics. He also resolves landowner conflicts.

As a skilled and experienced GIS specialist, Mr. Bishop provides oversight for our data management. He also oversees GIS support for projects, which includes developing project design criteria, data collection methodology, and geodatabase design.

Additionally, Mr. Bishop works closely with clients to better understand their needs and ensure that all contact components meet expectations. He also secures permits and rights of entry permissions for large-scale habitat restoration efforts, such as:

• Department of Navy
• National Forest Service
• US Army Corps of Engineers
• Various Resource Conservation Districts and Regional Conservation Groups

He graduated from the University of California Santa Cruz with a degree in environmental studies/natural history.

Graydon Dill is our lead plant biologist who has experience in multiple facets of environmental science. He has performed detailed plant surveys in many habitats throughout the state of California and is very proficient in both native and non-native plant identification.

His professional experience includes extensive fieldwork in many places. These locations include California’s Sierra Nevada mountain range, Southern California’s chaparral, coastal sage scrub, pine and hardwood forests, and coastal habitats including sensitive dune areas.

Mr. Dill also has extensive water quality data collection and monitoring experience and is responsible for calibrating equipment, collecting samples, and submitting lab samples for analysis.

He graduated from the University of Kentucky with a degree in geography/environmental planning and a minor in biology.

In addition to being a biologist, Carol McKie Manning is an avian field monitor. Ms. Manning has extensive experience in monitoring the California gnatcatcher, southwestern willow flycatcher, and least Bell’s vireo in riparian habitats.

She has also taken part in brown-headed cowbird trapping projects and spent thousands of hours monitoring California least terns and western snowy plovers in coastal dune habitats. Additionally, she is a plant specialist who assists in native and non-native plant identification and helps manage our revegetation projects.

She graduated from the University of Minnesota with a degree in biology.

Tracy Omori has been in our company for more than 20 years and serves as the firm’s office manager. She oversees customer accounts, accounts payable and receivable, and contract administration. Ms. Omori also manages the company’s human resources and payroll.

John Shockley has more than 25 years of experience in invasive weed control and landscape maintenance. He manages the company’s day-to-day labor force logistics as well as oversees and directs crew supervisors. With his extensive background in irrigation and native plant restoration, he is responsible for designing restoration site watering strategies and scheduling their routine maintenance.

Our expertly trained field supervisors, equipment operators, and field technicians have extensive experience in working on diverse and challenging projects in many habitat types. With their skills and knowledge of weed control, native planting, erosion control, tractor operation, and many other tasks, they can provide specialized services for even the most challenging projects.

They have many certifications, such as first aid and CPR certifications, Safe Pesticide Handling and Qualified Applicator certifications, and commercial driver’s licenses. Our staff has also undergone various training for skills applicable to their jobs, including GPS mapping and survey techniques.
